Compass Program FAQ’s
-
Adult children caring for aging parents. Older adults who want a trusted healthcare partner of their own. People planning for their own future care. Anyone managing a chronic or complex condition. If you want expert guidance before something goes wrong, not scrambling once it has, Compass is built for you.
-
No. Compass is completely remote. Your Nurse Advocate meets with you by phone or Zoom, and membership is open to families anywhere in the United States. This is one of the biggest differences between Compass and Haven's other advocacy services: you don't need to be local to get a dedicated advocate in your corner.
-
If an elderly person has no nearby family or support system, they may be at risk for isolation, poor medical follow-up, or preventable hospitalizations. That’s where a geriatric care manager in Tampa becomes essential. Haven provides comprehensive elder care management and acts as a trusted advocate monitoring health, attending appointments, and ensuring proper care is received.
-
Real, everyday healthcare questions. Medicare stopped covering rehab, what now? A parent's medications keep changing and nobody's tracking it. A discharge is happening and you don't know what comes next. Your advocate helps with appointment prep, understanding insurance and Medicare, planning after a hospital stay, and general guidance for yourself or a loved one.
-
That's what preferred member pricing is for. If something bigger comes up, an insurance appeal, a new diagnosis, a family meeting, Compass members get discounted rates on Haven's deeper advocacy services. Your advocate already knows your situation, so you're not starting over with someone new.
-
No. Compass is guidance and support, not medical care. It's not a medical practice, not a replacement for your physician, not an insurance company, and not a legal service. Think of it as the trusted resource that helps you navigate all of those, not a substitute for any of them.
-
For a medical emergency, call 911 or get immediate emergency care. Compass is built for planning and everyday guidance, not emergencies.
Compass also isn't a replacement for a few specific things: your doctor, an insurance company, a home health agency, a legal service, or crisis intervention. If you need one of those, Compass is here to help you find and work with the right resource, not to stand in for it.
